does this work on psp?
Edit:i tested it it dosent :(
im a hardcore doom fan and ithink this is the coolest thing ever! plz make this wasd
my question is HOW DO YOU DO THIS WITH NO LAG ON PICO
Muy bonito que recuerdos..
reminds me if like doom ran on that OS that terry davis made, pretty good.
It’s pretty cool
As someone who has sunk quite a bit of time into Doom, though I did not even exist when it was created, this game really is best played as a twin stick shooter.
my preference goes to mouse + keyboard but both works!
what whese going on in the begining of the video?
sd
d
ESDF DO I LOOK LIKE THE TYPE OF GUY WHO PLAYS WITH ESDF
everything is going to be ok - relax…
Hi, great game! I would like to propose to you to integrate it in the video games section of the website that I will soon put online. I can provide you with more details : nahosproduction@gmail.com
??
th
Idk about you but I'm ready for poom 2, poom 3, poom 2016, and poom eternal
Is there a level editor?
UwU
sort of - Poom uses standard Doom tooling with a custom compilation step.
doc at: https://github.com/freds72/poom-sdk
a virus named "Floxif" is in the game, dont download. It WILL spy on you, and may inject other malware.
i mean, u sure?
double check please, maybe link a screenshot of your windows defender popup or something
not defender i got it from malwarebytes
no - see: https://opentip.kaspersky.com/271E36B0064E2DC2F14AA53B373B371F9FBCD1AE995E98F847...
i did research, the reason he thinks that the game is the cause is because "floxif" replicates itself into other files of the pc, so lightningfart10000's pc is most likely infected with this virus.
I have ran multiple full scans with multiple antiviruses I do not think I have floxif. All I know is the poom file had something.
hey my windows stops my from playing
this is awesome, really cool!! gives me a headache but i liked it
This is really cool, fixing my fingers from slipping to wasd is something that'd take some time lol
you can play my other game: Demi Daggers that supports WASD 😜
i will 👀
very good game just like doom but why is e s d f to move when you use the letters and not the arow keys did i spell that right?
the game control scheme is indeed right handed (left: keyboard /right; mouse).
I can add a left handed scheme but no promise on release date…
A really good copy of doom!
Great game! Originally just played the Pico-8 game, then discovered this! (More levels, yay!!!)
By the way, is this guy you?https://www.fiverr.com/braxnod/make-a-8-bit-game-in-pico-8-for-you?
He uses POOM as an example of his "capabilities" along with the basic JELPI platforming demo by Lexaloffle.
thanks - and indeed the BBS version was just a demo.
The fiverr link is clearly a scam - going to ask for a take down.
This is actually so impressive! Good job!
I had so much fun playing Poom, congrats, really.
🙏
the cyberdemon boss can easily be beaten by first triggering him, then walking to the starting place and he just stares at you while you kill him
how

...
. . .
why was this made
. . .
to make sure the pico-8 can run doom
This game fucking slaps what doom should have been minigun for the win!!!!!!
yeah 👍
thanks!
Lmfao how much it take to kill a boss play any 90s game they are all hard the way it used to be lmfao love you freds keep up the great work!!!!!!!!!!
So, how long is the final boss supposed to take?
Because I completely exhausted all my ammo on him, all the reserves, and he's still alive, even after punching him multiple times he's still there.
Is this a bug?
(No, it's not a skill issue.)
what is your difficulty level?
cyber has a lot of hp but definitely enough ammo on level to kill him - should take about 2-3 minutes (firing/dodging/getting ammo)
The Easiest. I spent around maybe 5 minutes on my longest, used all the ammo that time.
ok - will be afk for several weeks but will try once I come back, in case there is a bug somewhere.
Okay!
I might try again to see if it really is a bug or a skill issue.
nice demake!
This is cool as hell!
You know what'd be cool?
A Viking Doom, set in Scandinavia's frozen hell.
I love this, its satisfying, but how do you save? If you can
thanks!
and cannot save within a level (they are quite short anyway) - progress is saved between levels only.
A peice of art.
thanks to ParanoidCactus !
damn, thats awesome
HELL YEAH!
... do you think i could use ths sengine in a game im making? my 3D engine sucks.
there is a whole sdk available: https://github.com/freds72/poom-sdk
similar to making a total conversion for Doom.
is there a code to load it? (i know its pethethic but i use pico8 edu. pico-8-edu.com )
no - either play from itch or download the binaries. you don’t need pico8 development environment to play.
Just a 1 word "Not bad"
yup thats one word
i like holding down the right mouse button to strafe when using the mouse controls
Really Insane
insane!
